Style it Sweet

By now, you guys know I teach The Style Lab online with my Confetti Pop partner, Maddy. Well, one of the topics we delve into the e-course with our students is how to style food for photos. I was scrolling through our Food Styling board on Pinterest the other day, and came across some of the sweet dessert pics I've pinned to inspire our students. Aren't these just amazing?

These images all really grabbed my attention when I was scrolling through my Pinterest wall, and I'm always on the lookout for more pretty desserts. Do you pin sweets? I'd love to see some of your favorite images. Leave me a link (or ten) in the comments, and I'll check them out.

  4. I've noticed that food styling that is NOT picture perfect comes out to be truly "picture perfect" to the viewer. Quite fascinating, actually!

  5. In The Style Lab we talk a lot about exactly that. It's true, that styled images are often purposely imperfect. What's important, is knowing how or what to make imperfect so that you don't actually detract from your image.
