DIY Mini Banner Cake Topper

I'm hitting you with a double whammy on Turkey Day. I made this fab project for Day 4 of Confetti Pop's Craftsmas. It was super quick and easy, because I used a Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. It made cutting these little letters a breeze, and it spared me the hand cramp I would have endured.

I've been seeing cupcake liner banners everywhere recently. Who would have ever thought to use this often overlooked paper for decorative banners over favor tables? It's a great, crafty idea that even the most budget-conscience bride or party hostess can afford. Kelli from My Lovely Life even incorporated coffee filters to vary the size of her garland.

I love the cute, customized banners that Kristen from Mary Had A Little Party creates. A good banner creates the perfect backdrop for any dessert buffet by bringing interesting patterns and colors into what may be an otherwise monochromatic display. Banners also bring height to the overall design, which is much more appealing than a one-level display.
