O Canada!: Bread Pudding Favors

Event designer Jennifer Bergman created this elegant, rustic tablescape for an inspirational photo shoot. With photos from Eternal Reflections and styling help from Pink Polka Wedding Design, the team created a fabulous mix of natural elements and modern accents.

You can see that balance reflected beautifully in the group's bread pudding Thank You favors. Sitting atop a glass tabletop and fine china, the homemade dessert adds a homey touch to the luxe floral, lace, and pearl accents that intertwine across the display.

 

Although this display is set up as a couple's sweetheart table, the masterful mix of glass, pearls, lace, birch bark, and florals could easily inspire a dessert table's design.

Dessert Table: Sweetly Geeky

I saw this dessert buffet on 100 Layer Cake. Isn't this the cutest geek-chic theme ever? I love how the cupcake and beaker are incorporated into the save-the-dates, invites, rsvps, and the cupcake toppers on the dessert buffet. The bride baked all of the cookies herself! Very cute.

Inspiration Board: Rustic Elegance

One of the wonderful brides-to-be that I met at the Mpls/St. Paul Magazine Bridal Party contacted me last night about her upcoming event. She wants an October event with rustic elements that is comfortable and still elegant. Her main accent color is burnt orange with other fall hues sprinkled in.

I started to work on an inspiration board for the dessert table's design with the intention to have it ready by Thursday. Well, I was so inspired by the thought of a comfortable, yet elegant wedding that I had the board ready to go an hour and a half later.  So, I thought I'd share my interpretation of rustic elegance with you.

I love the olive green, satin peep toe pumps for walking down the aisle, but a change into some equally gorgeous green flats would be a requirement for the hours-long reception and dancing into the night.
