Shauna, I had my first macarons today. I didn't get to Beverly Hills but I found a place in Downtown Los Angeles called Bottega Louie. I hate to sound elementary, but I had the red one, green one, yellow one and purple one, all delicious. I would have never tried them, if it weren't for your blog.
