Festive Cookie Wreath

Ok, so every year I'm like, "I'm gonna make a gorgeous, crafty, colorful wreath for the front door." I'll admit, that I haven't accomplished that goal most years, but maybe that's because I haven't thought of making a wreath I could eat.

This cookie wreath by Julia Usher via Sweetopia is creative, beautiful, and tempting, right?
Even better, there's a kit to make it full-proof and easy.
This wreath would be awesome as the centerpiece of a holiday dessert table, right?

Ornament Cake Balls

I loved these giant cake balls earlier this year, and I'm loving the wintery ornament-esque twist applied to these ones by Cotton & Crumb. The intricate, detailed iced designs pop beautifully against shimmery, almost iridescent backgrounds.
I say, "Bring on the shimmer!"

Pumpkin Pie Goodie Bag

This is the cutest idea! A faux pumpkin pie acts as a festive goodie bag, er tin, for kids. I mean, they're bound to get restless while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner to be served, and this printable pie top from One Charming Party is the perfect solution.

Dessert Table: Sunny Geometrics

I must have a thing for geometric shapes in pink, orange, and yellow. Earlier this year, I posted this fab cake.

And now, I'm back with an entire dessert table in the same sunny hue. This design is a collaboration between Melangerie, Jen Huang, and NineCakes.
Am I the only one in love with this palette?

Tutorial: How to Frost a Cupcake

Ever wonder how to achieve those bakery-perfect looking cupcakes? It's not as difficult as you'd think, thanks to a tutorial from Glorious TreatsThis frosting how-to will walk you through the easy-as-pie steps.
Happy frosting!

Coffee & Donuts Cupcakes

Well, this is a lovely combo, isn't it? Check out these coffee flavored cupcakes topped with sprinkled mini donuts by Always With Butter. What more could you ask for? Perhaps a cup a icy milk.

Dessert Table: 'Licious Love Letters

I saw this cute little dessert table on The Knotty Bride yesterday, and you know I'm a sucker for a cupcake liner garland. This design features a multi-colored, yet neutral, one as a backdrop. This inspirational shoot was shot by Jade + Matthew Take Pictures, conceived by Gray Harper Event Maker, and sweets provided by M Sweet Desserts.

A jar filled with love letters and heart labels scattered around the table bring in the lurv.

Bring on the Glitter!

For some reason, the holiday season always makes me think of glittery, shimmery prettiness. I know, I should probably think of berries and holly or turkeys and feathers, but that's just not me. So, this glittery cake by Sweetapolita caught my attention right away. So pretty.
Doesn't that little cake just scream icy, winter wonderland? The bigger cake looks like a News Party just waiting to happen.

Monogrammed Mini Pie Placecards

I know, that title is a mouthful, but in this case it's a warm, fruit-filled mouthful so it's ok. These pretty little pies from You Are My Fave are unique enough to actually become your fave party favor. I probably wouldn't want to churn out a ton for a large party or wedding, but a small dinner party of six or eight would be just right.
Not only is this a cute idea, but you really only need a few cookie cutters and the ability to fold small squares.

Gilded Goodies

Red, orange, and brown are classic Fall colors, but a touch of gold makes the palette come alive. These hand-decorated, leaf-covered orange vanilla spice cookies by Sweet Ambs have a little shimmer and a lot of texture.
I don't know about you, but I love giving edible gifts because chances are the recipient is bound to enjoy the gift (unlike the crocheted, monogram tea cozy you could make). I have a feeling these cookies would be a very welcome gift for anyone.

Pumpkin Favor Bowls

So, you've got some little mini pumpkins left over that haven't passed their prime and you've definitely still got some candy on your hands. Why not combine the two in the sweetest way ever and use the pumpkins as little bowls.

What kid wouldn't love to get one of these next to their plate after dinner tonight? Feel free to only hollow out only a shallow depression in the pumpkin so you don't have to dole out a huge amount of candy.

Edible Fall Cupcake Toppers

We've barely said "goodbye" to Halloween, and we're already looking forward to Thanksgiving. I was cruising Etsy today and came across these edible fall-inspired cupcake toppers by Modern Luxe Events. A collection of leaves and acorns make even the plainest cupcakes autumnally smart.
You could also use leaf and acorn craft punches to create your own (non-edible) Fall toppers.
