Dessert Table: Gold, Green, and Vintage Glam

After a day on set for Confetti Pop, I was happy to scroll through my Pinterest feed and find this framed dessert display. Ruffled blog featured this Wizard of Oz inspired shoot, and photog Sandy Tam capture The Sweetere's treats wonderfully. If you've seen my LOVE dessert table, then you know I like a good frame backdrop. Here, the frames also make a debut on the gold and green glitter cake.
Cupcakes and cake pops accompany the vintage-inspired cake. Yum! Simple glitter hearts make great cupcake toppers.
Can't get enough? Swing by Ruffled for more green, glittery goodness.

Pink and Gold Glitter Cookies

I've been staring that this pin for a couple of years now, just waiting to do a pink and gold holiday.
So, when I came across these packaged cookies, I was in eye candy heaven.
What palette are you using for the holidays?

flatware: Dust Jacket, macs: Sugar & Cloth

Sparkly Peppermint Macarons

Glitter this time of year (or any time really) just makes me giddy, so anytime that glitter is edible, I pretty much squeal with delight. These red and white macarons from Kevin & Amanda are so festively fabulous!
Still haven't gotten your fill of glittery goodness? Be sure to check me out on Pinterest, where I pin lots of delicious, pretty things that don't make it onto the blog. You'll probably love the Dessert Meets Design pinboard and the A December to Remember one, too.

Also, cruise by Kevin & Amanda to get the recipe for these pretty macs.

Bring on the Glitter!

For some reason, the holiday season always makes me think of glittery, shimmery prettiness. I know, I should probably think of berries and holly or turkeys and feathers, but that's just not me. So, this glittery cake by Sweetapolita caught my attention right away. So pretty.
Doesn't that little cake just scream icy, winter wonderland? The bigger cake looks like a News Party just waiting to happen.

Kate Spade's Glitter Cake

Kate Spade has used desserts for her Live Colorfully campaigns before, like in this 2009 ad.
But when the company commissioned art director Ely Kim to come up with this video for their January Red collection, they really came up with something fabulous. It's making me smile today.

I wish all makeup had such delicious origins, don't you?

If you missed this Kate Spade-inspired dessert table, be sure to check it out now.
