Dessert Table: Pink Profiles

I've featured pink dessert tables of every kind here on Sweet Tooth, but I think this one just might be the most adorable one yet. Photog Melanie Mauer shot this buffet for a little girl's birthday party. Elizabeth of Lovely Little Parties planned this silhouette-centric party using a profile of her daughter's face as a unifying accent throughout the event. Martines baked this pretty cake and macarons for the display. Cupcakes, marshmallows, and strawberry milk continue the pink palette.

Those custom silhouette cookies are just the prettiest little things. The delicate shade of pink is perfect. It's not too bright or too electric. A little pink ribbon adds the finishing touch and an unexpected detail.

Guest Desserts: Pink & Red Perfection

Today's fun pink and red Guest Desserts feature comes to us from Australia. Chelsea Arnold, a former journalist and editor, decided to change career tracks and pursue her creative passions. Eye Candy Events is a bespoke event planning service that specializes in couture candy and cake displays. I loved Chelsea's design immediately, but when she told me this was her very first dessert table I was amazed.

Chelsea made Tahitian lime cupcakes, cookies, and strawberry milk. She also included champagne, strawberry, and rose macarons, along with a couple of Australian favorites, white chocolate Tim Tam cookie pops and coconut ice.

Thank you for sharing your design, Chelsea. By choosing such a classic polka dot pattern, you've managed to create a stylish, yet timeless table.

Dessert Meets Design: Understory Chocolatiers

When I started Shauna Younge Dessert Tables, I chose the slogan, "Dessert Meets Design" because I truly feel that sweets deserve more attention to detail than simply focusing on the flavor. That's why I really appreciate when a company goes above and beyond to brand themselves and attractively package and design their goodies.

Underscore Chocolatiers has a gorgeous bottle and packaging system for their chocolate products, making even the wrappers and tins look melt-in-your-mouth silky smooth.

Understory makes dark chocolate milk, chocolate bark (in the bag on the right), cocoa (in the tin on the left) and nicely packaged chocolate bars (in the front).

Look at these lovely wax seals. These little touches elevate this milk to another level. Something so pretty is gift-worthy. How often can you say that about something as mundane as milk?
