Guest Desserts: Cupcake Craze

Today's guest dessert feature comes to us from Joie of Orange County, California. Joie is an aspiring bakeshop owner, who has recently been inspired by the dessert table trend. She's also quite crafty, but I'll let her tell you more about that.

from Joie: I love baking cupcakes, and I'm an aspiring bakeshop owner someday. For my cupcake-themed party, I made close to 200 cupcakes, with 8 different flavors (all my original creations, made from scratch)---pistachio, red velvet, black forest, rocky road, tiramisu, nutella, summer berries, and strawberry. I included store bought madeleines, macarons, meringues, cream puffs and mini cupcake candle give-aways. I also had a small candy table using apothecary jars and in the middle of it is a candelabra cupcake stand. he cupcake toppers are also handmade by me, using art papers, punchers, wood picks, hot glue-gun.
This is Joie's first dessert table, and I think she did a great job. If you love Joie's design, be sure to let her know in the comments section.

LOVE this!! My favorite is the mixed berry cupcake because it looks like a berry tart. I also love the display of apothecary jars. Beautiful and creative display.

These cupcakes are simply good and delicious! I am not one with sweet tooth but I could not pass on Joie's cupcakes! AND I did not shave off the whip cream! All that she put on each cupcake worked so well together that I could not help to indulge myself in them that I ate a lot more than what I usually take in at a party. AND I took home 10 cupcakes to share with my loved ones, but I found myself keeping 5 in my bedroom! :) I felt a little bad because I'm usually the type that share what is good! ~evette
